Favourite Links
(Jennifer White, Celtic Harper, Vocalist and Storyteller)
These are some of my favorite links. They aren't necessarily harp or storytelling related, just some of my favourite cyber-haunts. If you would like to be linked to this page, drop me an e-mail with details....Of course, I would like to be linked to yours too! I have gone to great pains to be sure any links I am connected to are free of profanity, etc. But as you know, things on the internet can change quickly. Should you follow a link from my page you find offensive, or, if you find any of these links is broken, please contact me and let me know.
Harp Builders and Dealers and Harp Related Sites
Roger Muma Musical Instruments (London, Ontario, Canada)
I started out on one of Roger's neo-celtic lap harps. I currently play his Concerto 33-String, and we have just added a custom-built 37 string to the family. Roger has been building folk harps for 15 years. His harps are sturdily built with a good eye to aesthetics and beautiful tone, and he's quite open to "co-designing" your harp with you. And, for such quality instruments, Roger's are the best prices I've seen to date.
Odilia's Harp, HARPA Harp Journal
A wealth of Harp related information and links.
Harp Strings--The Australian Harp Journal
Australian chapter of the International Society for Folk Harpers and Craftsmen. Harp links. Harp Strings gave a glowing review of Clarsach in its 2000 January issue. See Reviews.
Trad@Harp includes Festivals, Summerschools, Irish Harp Organizations, Albums and Magazines.
The Ethnic Musical Instrument Co.
If you are just starting out, and you're looking for an inexpensive student harp, check out this site. I haven't played any of these instruments and can't attest to their quality. Mid-East Mfg. also carries a wide range of inexpensive ethnic instruments.
For other harp links, you may travel the Harp Ring linked to my Home page.
